Violet

Violet is a lighter shade of purple darker than lilac but lighter than your average purple color.

Violet, like most shades of purple, is found often in casual clothes like t-shirts.

This color is a nice color to paint your room (see This or That post on "Paint Jobs") because it isn't too dark, light, or neon.

Royal Blue

Royal blue is one of the darker shades of blue, like all "royal" shades.  It is important to specify that this color is blue because there are royal shades of other colors.

Royal blue is dark, but not as much as navy and is not similar to black.  It is very deep and is one of my favorite shades of blue.

Lime

Lime is a particularly famous and bright shade of green.  It is very similar to yellow-green, though a little greener, and is almost as bright as neon green.
Lime is popular among children, but as neon colors aren't really appreciated by adults, it is not found often in clothing or other accessories, also because it is so bright.

Amber

Amber is a shade of yellow considerably darker than bright yellow or traditional yellow.  Since it's darker, it's easier to read, making it a smarter choice for writing or drawing.
Amber is close to the color of the jewel amber, giving it its name.  It has a little bit of orange in it, helping to make the darker color.  Amber is one of the nicest colors of yellow in fancy clothing because it isn't obnoxiously bright.

Pumpkin

Pumpkin is a shade of orange not too dissimilar from traditional orange.  The color is almost the same as the color of a pumpkin, hence its name.

Pumpkin is found often in women's clothing, and is one of the most widespread oranges in this category, if not all.  It is, in fact, a very nice color.

Scarlet

Scarlet is a shade of red that is relatively bright.  It is found often in women's clothing and accessories and is quite attractive.

Scarlet is very similar to the traditional red color, only a little bit darker.  It is one of my favorite colors, and I would for sure recommend it as a fabulous shade of red.
